Work Experience

Assistant Director for the summer 2022 production of The Wolves by Sarah DeLappe at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College 

• Assist the director with creating blocking and giving rehearsal notes to performers.

• Assist the production manager with guest artist related errands such as shuttling back and forth between housing and rehearsal spaces, and picking up medications and other health/safety related items for visiting artists.

• Keep an eye on the vibe of the cast and production team to ensure good collaboration.

Colorado College Office of Admissions, Admissions Ambassador Captain (May 2020 to present

• Communicate with prospective students, answer questions and provide support to ensure students have all the tools they need to apply.

• Give tours of Colorado College campus.

• Give presentations about different elements of campus and academic life at Colorado College.

• Interview Colorado College students who are applying for the ambassador position.

• Promotion from Ambassador to Ambassador Captain. Role included:

  • I and one other person lead the Ambassador Program at Colorado College. We are in charge of hiring, training, scheduling, and managing the CC students who work in the Admissions Office. These students give tours, answer phones, receive and digitize mail, and offer in-person support in the office to both prospective families and office staff.

Terrestrial Science Intern at the Madagascar Research and Conservation Institute (4 months, February through June of 2019)

• I led groups of volunteers out on hikes to collect data. For a two week period while my co workers were on vacation, I was left in charge. I collected all the necessary data while also creating activities for volunteers to keep them engaged in the work. I led a two-week boat trip around Madagascar. I was in charge of safety and the budget on this trip, as well as organizing it.

Research Assistant at the Ostional National Wildlife Refuge, Costa Rica (2.5 months, late September through early December of 2018)

• I led orientations for volunteers, as well as taking them out on patrol at night to collect data. I would interact with tourists on the beach as well as work as a translator for the local people in charge of the research project.

• I made and served waffles at the Minnesota State Fair. I would work the register, as well as make and serve waffles

• In these positions, I led sectionals and would provide the choir with information regarding concerts, tours, rehearsals and expectations. I organized and executed a retreat for the choir.
