Look Pretty and Do As Little As Possible, 2022

this is a performance I gave in December of 2022. It was a reaction and reflection on the Reagan administration's response to the AIDS pandemic, and to the shooting at Club Q in Colorado Springs. I was inspired by Linday Ellis's video essay title the same as my project, as well as Scott Calonico's "When AIDS Was Funny." The video playing behind me is a mash of Lindsay's and Scott's videos, along with other images I collected.
